It is with deep sadness that we inform Yering Meadow Club Members of the passing of Jenny Kelsall, much loved and respected Club Member with 26 years of membership.

Jenny joined Croydon in 1994. She served many years on the Ladies Committee and had the challenging but inspiring position as Lady Captain when the club moved to Yering and the new handicapping system was implemented. Jenny was a wonderful leader for our ladies golf and she always gave generously of her time for her beloved club. She was a strong advocate for the ‘Give Golf A Go’ program of which many of our current members joined through. She was a strong and competitive tennis player and golfer winning many events in both sports. Her golfing achievements were many. To name just a few; she had a hole in one in the fog on the 12th hole at Yering in 2010, she represented the club over many years in the Ladies Pennant team and one of her more recent golfing rewards was the much coveted Grandmother’s trophy in 2017.
Despite struggling with her health over recent times she would often join the Ladies after golf on a Tuesday to catch up on the ‘gossip’ and see her friends. She had a wicked sense of humour and I think most of us have seen some very ‘colourful’ photos from Presentation nights at Croydon.
Jenny was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by all.
We extend our most sincere condolences to the Kelsall family at this difficult time.
