George was a member for over 50 years. This trophy was donated in his memory by his wife and family. It is in the form of a silver beagle — George’s favourite dog. George lived all those years only a nine iron from the course, in Morgan Avenue. The trophy was first played in 1981. The event is open to 20+ year members and special invitations to former Presidents, Captains and veterans.
This year’s Golden Oldies was held on Saturday 6th December. Weather was a big let down again, with limited numbers participating.
Ian Muntz won the day with an impressive 70 Nett.
