  • Ties: Matches ending all square after 18 holes will continue from the first tee played until one side wins a hole, with handicap applied.

  • Responsibility: The winning side must ensure their result (including walkovers) is entered on the results sheet in the men’s locker room on the day.

How 4BBB (Four Ball Better Ball) Works

  • You play as the partner of another player.

  • On each hole, the better score of you or your partner is counted.

  • If the scores are equal, the score of the first player to hole out is taken.

  • Scores must be recorded in a column for each player so that cards can be checked at the end of the round.

MiScore App – Scoring Guidance

(From the MiScore website)

Stand-alone 4BBB

Fourball (or 2BBB) competitions when run as stand-alone will pair players booked in cells 1 & 2 and cells 3 & 4 with scoring via the 4BBB interface in the MiScore App.

When scoring each hole the scorer will first select the player that contributed the score then the score for the hole. Doing the same for the pair that is being marked.

The club will handicap players based on Fourball scoring as per Golf Australia fourball handicapping regulations.

Swingers

For stand-alone Fourball and if the group is playing as a three then the MiScore App will select the pairings and allocate as the ‘Swinger’ based on the player with the lowest GA handicap in the group. The ‘Swinger’ can score but not submit scores at the conclusion of the round. The other two players in the three will be scoring and submitting scores at the end of the round.

Ladies Competition

Please note, tomorrow’s Ladies competition will be Stableford.

This is one of the Club’s most prestigious Board Events, with the honour of qualifying for both Founders Fourball Matchplay and the Peter Millard Memorial Trophy. We look forward to a strong field and wish all players the best of luck.

MATCH COMMITTEE DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

PETER MILLARD MEMORIAL TROPHY (36 holes par nett)

EVENT COMMENCED: 1993

Peter served two terms on the Committee totaling fourteen years including four years as Vice President.

He was made a Life Member in 1983.

His wife Barbara donated this Trophy in his memory in 1993. She said that Peter loved Fourball Competitions and that was the reason behind wanting this particular trophy in his memory.
