We currently have a Kress autonomous mower onsite for a short trial period (10 days). Starting 8/4/26.

The mower will be operating in the following areas:

  • Left-hand side of the driveway on entry
  • Rough behind the 21st green

This trial is aimed at assisting staff in maintaining mowing standards and improving course presentation.

How this affects play

The autonomous mower is treated as an outside influence under the Rules of Golf.

In simple terms:

  • If the mower moves your ball

    → No penalty. Replace your ball on its original spot (estimate if required)
  • If your shot hits the mower

    → No penalty. Play the ball as it lies
  • If your ball is damaged (e.g. scratched or cut)

    → You may substitute a new ball (no penalty)
