The Match Committee met during the week this week.  Here are a few takeaways from the meeting:

• Temporary Local Rules updated to include the following:

Abnormal Course Conditions

In areas cut to fairway height or less, if a player’s ball lies within

      • Drainage depressions or uneven drainage pit surrounds,
      • Bare patches, or
      • Exposed rocks

or if the condition interferes with the player’s stance or the area of their intended swing the player may take relief without penalty under Rule 16.

• Yering Meadows Cup and Veterans’ Knockout draws have been finalised, draws posted on the Men’s locker room noticeboard.

• Texas Scramble 27-hole event postponed to 23rd November.

• Areas immediately behind 7th and 14th greens are no longer GUR.

• Members responsibility to check weather conditions for frost and/or fog and to change their tee time accordingly.  We will continue to pre-warn members of a likely delay due to weather conditions via web and email.
